Moderator Almighty?
Today it’s easier than ever to host an event. Virtual platforms make it easy to bring in speakers from all across the globe and to serve even a global audience. Very often one important component is neglected: the moderator. Why is a moderator so crucial for the success of an event? Peter Poehle from Boothted will dive into this topic with Jan-Jaap in der Maur from Masters in Moderation
A seasoned moderator creates the framework for an event. The moderator guides the speakers and the audience, provides an added value without being the front-runner. Just like a great ingredient to a wonderful dish: you don’t really know that it’s there, but if it isn’t you will deeply miss it.
Virtual and hybrid events are a special case. They require additional skills from the moderators and they need to adapt to the new reality.
